First aid

When giving first aid, the first step should be calling the emergency medical service.

The operator can also help you assess the situation.

Always make sure you do not put yourself in danger too.

Find out whether the ill or injured person is conscious and what injuries they have. Try to stop any bleeding.

If they are unresponsive and not breathing, start resuscitation.

If vital functions are restored, move the casualty into the recovery position so that, for example, their tongue cannot block the airway.

Wait for the paramedics to arrive.

Rescue Group is number one in first aid

First aid should be a basic skill for everyone, because the ability to save a life is priceless. If our description of first aid has made you realise that you do not know what to do, now is the perfect time to take a first aid training course. When giving first aid, it is also important not to put yourself at risk – for example by rushing across a road or throwing yourself into a place where there is live electricity.

First aid is mainly about maintaining or restoring basic vital functions. Our first aid training includes practical demonstrations, so you can practise resuscitation on a mannequin, and we also hold sessions with make-up effects where role-players simulate injuries you may encounter, so you can try first aid in practice in a controlled environment.

With our comprehensive health and safety and fire protection packages you also get a training package in which first aid has a clearly defined and very important place. The more people in the workplace know the principles of first aid, the safer your workplace is.
