Firefighting documentation (DZP) and operational cards

Firefighting documentation is essential for firefighters responding to an incident at your company.

It helps firefighters act as effectively and safely as possible in a critical situation.

It mainly concerns large and complex buildings, for which it is mandatory.

Fire protection should never be underestimated

Providing fire protection in accordance with the applicable legislation and decrees is one of the basic obligations of legal entities, businesses and self-employed persons. The complexity of fire protection depends mainly on the level of fire risk, which falls into three basic groups.

Three levels of fire risk

  • No increased risk

    Level 1

A small company or office with few employees, mostly administrative work. An annual inspection of fire extinguishers and electrical appliances is enough.

    • Offices
    • Administration
  • Increased risk

    Level 2

For example manufacturing companies, warehouses, schools and nurseries. Inspections may only be carried out by a fire safety technician or a competent person (OZO).

    • Manufacturing
    • Warehouses
    • Schools
  • High risk

    Level 3

Chemical plants, buildings over 12 storeys, buildings difficult for firefighting, places with immobile people or children under two. Only an OZO with the state examination may verify fire protection.

    • Chemical plants
    • High-rise buildings

We handle every level of risk

At Rescue Group we can of course handle all three levels. We will help you assess which risk category your operation falls into and meet the fire protection and safety requirements. We also supply fire protection equipment, including installation. We provide fire extinguishers and firestop seals.

Regular inspections and checks

Once everything is in order from a fire protection point of view, it needs to stay that way. That is why regular inspections and checks are carried out, and only a certified fire safety technician may perform them. The good news is that all our technicians at Rescue Group hold this certificate. We therefore carry out complete fire protection inspections, including hydrants, fire doors, firestop seals and fire extinguishers, which thanks to our new specialised workshop we can also pressure test and refill.

Practical training with firefighters

Trained staff are an essential part of fire protection. It would be of no use to have ten working fire extinguishers on site if nobody knew how to use them. Our services therefore include practical fire safety training put together in cooperation with firefighters. Your people will learn how to assess the risk of tackling a fire, how to evacuate as effectively as possible, and they will try out using a fire extinguisher for real. They even have to put out a controlled fire in practice. If a real situation then arises, nothing will take them by surprise.

Firefighting documentation

For larger and more complex buildings we can also prepare firefighting documentation (DZP). This is a very comprehensive document for the commander of a fire brigade operation; it makes the firefighters’ work easier, keeps them safer during the operation and is mandatory for some buildings and operations.

OHS and fire protection in one flat fee

Rescue Group offers comprehensive services, so together with fire protection we can also take care of health and safety for you, including all the documentation, most of which we provide electronically. We also provide the necessary training and inspections. In short, everything needed for your operation to run smoothly and safely. With a flat-rate package, everything (except firefighting documentation) is included in the price and there are no additional fees. We do not outsource, so you can be sure that you will always be visited by professional Rescue Group technicians who are vetted, properly certified and whom we would vouch for without hesitation. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us – we will be happy to advise you on health and safety and fire protection.
